Makeup Quiz | My Personalized Makeup Guides
The day is finally here and I can’t possibly be more excited! I started this blog as a way for me to talk about one of my favorite things in the world: all things beauty. As you can hopefully tell by now, I love beauty so much and it is intertwined in almost everything I do. I love makeup because of how creative it makes me, how confident it makes me feel, and it’s just so much fun to play around with it and try new products.
One day, we were brainstorming about what we can do to make this blog different. I knew that although I can write about makeup and all things beauty until my fingers fall off, I wanted to also do something different with this blog and to really interact with our followers and viewers.
After searching my mind for ideas, I finally thought of exactly what this blog needed. Personalized Makeup Guides! In this post, I’ll share with you guys exactly what I created and I’ll also explain how to get access to them too.

And now, for the moment we’ve all been waiting for, let’s dive deep into what the Personalized Makeup Guides are all about! So since these makeup guides are all personalized, I needed to find a way to really make sure you get the guide that’s meant for you. How do we do that? After going back and forth about how we would accomplish it, a light bulb went off in our minds.
To try to make it as personalized as we could, we created a quiz to determine your skin type. Since skin type is basically the determining factor behind what kind of products you use, this is the first step in the makeup guide process. Once you finish the quiz, you will your results of what kind of skin type you have. The skin types that we focused on are the basic ones: dry, combination, and oily.
Another thing that the quiz will focus on is your makeup style. By makeup style, I mean if you prefer wearing a full coverage/glam look or if you have a makeup style that’s more natural. Once you finish the quiz, it will determine your skin type and also your makeup style/preference so that you get sent the correct guide that’s meant for you!
Once you have your skin type and makeup preference, you’re ready for your guide! You will enter your email address and you will get a link to your step by step makeup routine, as recommended by me!

Let’s talk a bit more about the makeup guides. When it comes to my makeup style, I love a good mix of high end and affordable makeup. However, I’d definitely be lying if I said I didn’t have a favorite when comparing the two. Although I love a good high end luxury makeup moment, I definitely feel like you can get gorgeous products that perform just as well, all at an affordable price.
In these guides, there are mostly affordable tried and true favorite drugstore products of mine sprinkled with some favorite high-end products of mine. As I mentioned earlier, the guides are not only customized by skin type, but they’re also divided further depending if you like a full coverage/glam look or a natural makeup style.
Both of those guides contain the basic categories in my makeup routine: Primer, Foundation, Concealer, Setting Powder, Setting Spray, Bronzer, Blush, Highlighter, Mascara, and Lips. The Full Coverage/glam guide will also include some of my favorite eyeshadows and shimmers as well to really glam up your look. Each step will include three or more different product recommendations and there will also be a recommendation for what beauty tool to use for each step.
My Makeup Quiz | Final Thoughts
The final thing that I want to mention is that these guides are simply my recommendations and the products that I truly love and use. I will never recommend a product that I haven’t heard about at all; simply just to put it as a space filler! Each product may or may not work for you, so let this guide be just that, a guide for your makeup routine. You can either substitute different products for certain steps or not even use certain steps at all. The beauty of makeup is that it’s truly personal, customizable, and something that is your own.
When it comes to the future of these guides, we’re planning on rolling out many more in the future and expanding on each category of beauty! I have so many ideas floating around in my mind and can’t wait to put all of them into fruition.
